So what's the secret to having gorgeous, healthy hair?! Looking after your hair of course! From working in a hairdressers I learned so much about hair and how important it is to be using the correct products for your hair type. The majority of people often use the wrong products for their hair, therefore the condition of their hair either doesn't change or get worse. I could go so into depth about each hair type but this post will probably go on until next week! Having said that if anyone would like me to do a post on hair types and which products to use let me know. You could have dry and thin hair but you might not be able to find products that will help moisturise your hair while trying to make your hair feel thicker. In cases like this you need to tackle one problem at a time.
For instance, around this time last year I had a colour disaster I was bright blonde. The brighter the blonde the more damage your doing to your hair. Well, I got to a stage where my hair was snapping off, I had split ends which led me to cut my hair shorter than what I wanted. But I had to, in order to get my hair back into good condition I had to cut all the dead ends off and start using treatments, shampoos and conditioners to help my hair. Most importantly, I didn't want my hair to snap off anymore than what it had so I started using a shampoo and conditioner particularly for brittle/damaged hair. After a month of using the shampoo and conditioner my hair was finally feeling and looking healthier.
To help my hair even more I decided to get a root drag. It was less maintenance and it meant I wasn't bleaching my hair every 4-6 weeks. Since I have started looking after my hair better I am constantly getting compliments on my hair, I would be walking down the street and girls would stop me saying how much they love my hair. A year later and my hair is growing so fast, even with getting my hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks. Regularly using treatments and colouring my hair less than I did before. Everytime I do get my colour done now I only get a tint as I get a semi-permanent so it fades up quite a lot. I also get a toner on the ends of my hair to make my blonde more ashy and cleaner looking rather than that brassy look.
The main reason I picked up this hair mask is because the next time I will be getting my hair done I will be adding more blonde to my hair because it has grown out a little and I want the blonde brought up more. I have started using this treatment in my hair now so I can keep my hair nourished and hydrated before I get my hair done so the chances of my hair breaking again are quite low. As you can see from the photos it has 10 amazing benefits. One thing I will admit is that my hair isn't frizzy, to a certain extent. I mean if I don't blowdry my hair and let it dry naturally of course it will frizz ever so slightly but I do have a natural kink in my hair. So if I do let my hair dry naturally no matter how many times I straighten my hair it won't stay straight as much as I'd liked.
My first time using this product it gave my hair instant smoothness and shine. It was much easier to comb through my hair now as well. I don't have 'knotty' hair per say but because my hair is blonde, it is dry which makes it that bit harder to comb through. I have used this a couple of times now and I 100% feel confident that in a months time I will see a big difference in my hair as I already have. When I use this mask, I shampoo my hair as normal giving it two shampoos, rinsing very well. I then towel dry my hair and apply it from root to tip and comb through my hair. I like to leave hair masks on for as long as I can so I tend to use them on my 'lazy' days. For anyone who has thin or oily hair I wouldn't recommend applying it from the root. You will find your hair becoming oily quicker and if you use too much it can make your hair feel too heavy. It has a thick consistency but it spreads so easily in your hair. The smell of this is absolutely devine too! It has that 'hairdresser' smell! I purchased this in a beauty suppliers but it can be purchased online.

Happy Saturday! Seriously cannot believe its July already, halfway through 2017! I thought I would start off this months post with my June Favourites. It's not a lot of products because to be honest I haven't done much shopping in the past few weeks as I have been saving for a lot things that are coming up. Having said that yesterday I done some serious damage to my bank account and I will do some haul posts soon!
Tantastic liquid tan is 100% my favourite tan I have used so far. The bottle lasts forever and a little goes a long way. I do love a dark tan so I chose this shade. It smells amazing and it drys in so fast its unbelievable! Two days before I do my tan I always exfoliate and moisturise to ensure I get an even application. On the day I do my tan I rub tonnes of moisturiser on my elbows, knees, hands and wrists and an area on my chest as I sometimes get marks from the straps of my tops. I also put moisturiser on my nails if I have a set of acrylic nails on and if my toes are painted! I always try my best to tan the night before to let it develop over night and wash it off in the shower the next morning. Anytime I wear this tan I get so many compliments and I'm always asked if its a spray tan!
Victoria Secret Hydration Body Lotion Red Plum & Pressia I got this in a set a few months back as a present and usually I very rarely or never use the lotions I get in sets but this I have been constantly using the past few months. It smells devine and I love the thickness of the lotion, I have dry skin so I prefer thicker lotions because I feel they work better for my skin. I use the bodyspray along with this as the fragrance lasts longer and I don't have to keep using during the day! I hate when I put on bodysprays or perfumes and the fragrance just disappears after an hour

It has only occured to me that I have actually never written a current favourites post so I thought I would get cracking and show you all some of my makeup products that I am currently obsessed with. I love reading other bloggers current favourites because I come across a lot of products I want to use or some I haven't even heard of. I'm pretty sure you have all heard of the ones included in this post but anyway! These products are what I use almost everyday and some I have recently gone back to using. As you can already tell by my blog I am a big lover of MAC so of course they are included in this post!
MAC Pro Fill Palette: These 4 fill pro palettes are so handy! I have a few of these and the bigger palettes. I just find these easier to store because I bring half my makeup with me it fits perfect in my makeup bag! Aside from that they are cheaper and its only €6 for a refill pan. I love this palette I have built up myself, I am sure most of you have these eyeshadows but they are always used in any makeup look I wear. The eyeshadows from top left to right are: Vanilla, Tempting, Swiss Chocolate and Texture.
Inglot Pressed Powder 63: I have to admit when I first tried Inglot products I wasn't a big fan. But after trying out a few of the products I am slowly converting! I came across a blogger on Youtube using this powder in one of her makeup looks and I just had to buy it. It is pretty dark and I would only recommend it to people who wear a medium-dark tan. What I love most about this powder is that you only need the smallest amount on your brush so I know it will last me ages!
Benefit High Brow: I know this has been going around years but only a few weeks ago when I was organising all my makeup I came across it in my makeup storage box, I was delighted. I totally forgot I had it and remembered how much I loved using it. This is brilliant for cleaning up your brows and giving the illusion of a nice arch if you lack one. Honestly if you have never tried this before(which I would be surprised if you haven't) you need this on your makeup list! The difference it makes to your brow shape, it really pulls the look together.
Inglot Under Eye Concealer 91: I picked this concealer up a few weeks ago and it was my first time using it. I have to say I really am impressed with this! Like the powder a little goes along way. I mostly use this for highlighting my face. It spreads so easily and the coverage is amazing.
MAC Blush Melba: To be quite honest I would say I own 2 blushes?! I have never really been into them as I could never find the right shade for me. Only now I have been slowly getting use to wearing blush and using them everyday. Well only this one! I love it because it isn't too pink and bright, it isn't hugely noticable when I have it on but it does make a huge difference to my makeup. There are a few other MAC blushes I want to try, I will be getting one this week so once I try it out I will do a review!

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm back today with my Top 10 Favourite Makeup Brushes. I have so many brushes that I absolutely love to use so it was very hard to narrow it down for this post. I tend to switch my brushes up every so often but these are the brushes I use mostly everyday. Yes, I wear makeup everyday! I am 'one of those' who can't set foot out the door without having my makeup done! Makeup just gives me so much more confidence and to be quite honest with you.. it is my favourite part of getting ready. I love trying out new makeup brushes and new makeup products even if I'm lounging around the house I will get my makeup out and try out new looks. As you can see from the photos they are mostly Zoeva brushes. These brushes are the best I have ever used, no exaggeration. They still feel so soft. I have these about two years and they are still in such good condition. The brushes wash like brand new and stay unbelievably soft after each wash. The hairs don't fray either after washing them. Bare in mind I have used some of these brushes hence the makeup on them. I usually wash my makeup brushes around 3 times a week depending on how dirty they get. Inbetween these days I use surgical spirits to get rid of any excess makeup on them. I get it in Boots and pour it into spray bottles, it lasts ages too and it isn't expensive.
112 Face Curve: So recently I have been using this brush again to apply my foundation. I usually use a beauty blender or buffer type of brush but I decided to use this as my other brushes have seen better days. I wouldn't be a big fan of these brushes for applying foundation because I hated the lines they would leave. Luckily with this brush I don't have that problem! The curved brush makes it super easy to apply the eyes and nose and it applies it flawlessly! If you haven't used this brush before you need to purchase it! It costs €15.50
129 Luxe Fan: This brush is amazing and super handy to have as you can use it for many things. It can be used to apply blush, highlighter and to remove any fallen eyeshadow from your face. It's great brush for wanting a more natural look or if you have a highlighter that is very pigmented and you don't want to pick up too much of the product on your brush this is ideal! Again the hair doesn't fray whatsoever. It retails at €13.50
109 Face Paint: I love to use this brush when I'm applying stick foundations for my contouring. The brush size is perfect for applying the stick foundation under my cheek bones, around my forehead and my nose. It's a great brush to have if you tend to struggle with contouring, it is so easy to use! This brush costs €15.50
224 Defined Crease: This brush is perfect for any detailed look. It is super light which makes it easy to blend in the crease or outer corners of the eye. It's perfect for anyone who has a small shape eye like myself. I tend to use this brush for blending out my eyeliner to give a softer look. It costs €10.50
230 Luxe Pencil: These brushes are just a must have in everyones makeup kit! Again its great for any detailed eye look, for smudging eyeshadow underneath the lash line and to highlight the inner corner of the eye. It costs €10.50
237 Detail Shader: This is another good brush for highlighting the inner corner of your eye. It is also good for highlighting undearneath the brow and for carving out your eye shape for a cut crease! It costs €10.50
228 Luxe Crease: I use this brush everytime I do my makeup. It is perfect for contouring your eye and blending out any harsh line. It is super soft and fluffy. I don't think I will ever part from this brush! It costs €10.50
Real Techniques Smudge Brush: This is my favourite brush to use when I want a smokey eye. It's great for smudging out eyeliner underneath the eye to get rid of any lines between the eyeliner and eyeshadow. It gives such a flawless look. I did get this brush in a set of 4. It can be purchased on Cloud10Beauty in a set along with another brush for €10.95 I'm sure it's available in Boots also!
234 Luxe Smoky Shader: Another brush I don't think I could ever part from! I always use this to apply eyeshadow to my lid because it gives a gorgeous soft look. It can also be used for under your lash lines for a smoky look. It costs €10.50
231 Luxe Petit Crease: This is a great brush for giving definition to your eye, for applying a transition shade and for highlighting. It costs €10.50
I got these Zoeva brushes in the Rose Gold Complete Eye Set Vol.1 that came with other brushes too. But they can all be purchased seperately on the Zoeva website or on Beautybay.com These are the best brushes I have ever used, the quality of them are just amazing and at such a reasonable & affordable price. Go check out the Zoeva website as they have some tutorials on their brushes which makes it easier to decide on which to buy! It has been well overdue since I've bought new makeup brushes so I plan on ordering more when pay day arrives! Have you used any of these brushes before? Have any favourites? Let me know! x

Since my last post was a much more heavy night time smokey eye I decided to do a more day time look. To be quite honest I don't have an exact everyday look that I wear all the time. I do wear eyeshadow most days but not the same look, it really depends on my mood and what I'm wearing! So this is the look I wore on Sunday, it's super easy to do and it's a wearable brown smokey eye for the day time. I have kept it quite light on the skin too with my contour and highlighter. The sun had made an appearance so I didn't need much as the light would pick up on it. For this look I used different products than in my last post! If you would like to know how I achieved this look it is all listed below. In this post I'm going to go into more detail on how I used the products. Enjoy!
Face: I used the Flormar Illuminating primer. As my foundation I used Shade 4 from the SoSue Contour Kit. To conceal I used Shade 1 from the same palette. To apply my foundation & concealer I used a beauty blender in patting motions. To set my foundation & concealer I used Flormar loose setting powder. To contour my face I used Inglot pressed powder in 63. This is my absolute favourite at the moment! I then used Mac Matte bronzer. For my highlight I used the SoSu Highlight Kit in Unicorn Dust just above my bronzer. The blush I used was Mac Modern Manderin its a nice orange/peach tone and is perfect for summer as it is nice and bright!
Eyes: As always I prime my eyelids with Urban Decay primer potion in the original shade. To set the primer I used Mac Brule eyeshadow. I used both Inglot eyeshadow 300 & Mac Uninterupted as my transition shade, I blended these eyeshadows slightly above the crease and underneath my eye. For my lid I pressed Espresso by Mac, I then used Mac Handwritten into the crease to blend this colour getting rid of any harsh lines. I applied my eyeliner next using my absolute favourite Inglot gel liner in 77. I wanted to blend my eyeliner into my eyeshadow to give it a softer look so I used Inglot eyeshadow 63 just on the outer corner of the eyeliner and blended it slightly. I then applied each stage again of my eyeshadow and blended out any harsh lines and repeated these colours underneath my eyes. I used NYX Jumbo eyeliner pencil in Milk in the waterline. This is a great trick for making your eyes appear bigger and it's perfect for during the day instead of using a black liner. The mascara I used was Rimmel Flash Mascara. I'm running low on my stock of lashes so I haven't applied any for this look!
Eyebrows: I wanted to give these their own seperate paragraph as the above section was getting a little long & I don't want to bore you all with my lenghty description of my makeup! Anyways, I've been using Inglot brow gel in Shade 15 for my eyebrows. I have been using this for awhile now, I do love the shade that it is but I will purchase shade 16 which is a cooler & dark shade for the areas where I don't have much eyebrow hair (due to overplucking in my teenage years!). I defined my brows a bit more by using a dark brown eyeshadow, mostly the end of my brow.
Lips: The lipliner I used is the one I wear mostly everyday it works well with so many lipsticks and lipglosses and that is the famously Spice lipliner by Mac. If you don't have this in your makeupbag.. where have you been?! The lipstick I wore is another one of my favourites Faux by Mac. I actually bought this lipstick in the airport last year heading to Nerja for my sisters wedding. I have seen people wearing it all the time and it was just one of those I never got around to buying. I wore this the day of my sisters wedding, the colour went perfect with the colour of the bridesmaid dress!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. So as I mentioned in my previous post I was going to do a post on a makeup look. This look is quite heavy and it probably isn't everybodys cup of tea but personally I love a dark smokey eye. It's a great look for night time. As you can see I don't have any tan on because I was applying my tan later on that night because I was heading out the following day! So my foundation is a lot darker than my natural skin reason being I ALWAYS wear tan so I match it up to that. I wasn't going anywhere special so I tried out some new eyeshadows as well. If you want to know products I used etc for this look I've listed them below!

Left to Right - Melted Gold, Moon Sparkle, Shooting Star, Unicorn Dust, Peach Smoothie, Candy Crush.
Happy Friday everyone! The sun has made an appearance today so hopefully it stays like this all weekend, fingers crossed! I have been dying to show you all the SoSu Highlighter Kit. Ohhh my days, like .. Just look at those colours. I have been wanting to get my hands on this kit for so long after seeing so many posts about it on Instagram. I mean, look at how pigmented these are! So as you can see you get six different shades. They all have such a gorgeous undertone to them. My personal favourites are Moon Sparkle and Unicorn Dust. The main undertone in these are pink, everytime I wear them I always get compliments. To be quite honest I haven't used many of the other shades in the palette but I think they will be gorgeous as eyeshadows. I plan on doing some makeup posts in the next coming weeks so I will be adding these to the looks I'll be doing. As for the packaging, it is so easy to store and the mirror is actually amazing. The palette costs only €29.95. You can purchase this on the Sosu website or Cloud 10 Beauty. I honestly thought I could never part from Macs Soft & Gentle until I got this! I highly recommend it. I wanted to keep this post nice and short as my last one was quite long! It's a bank holiday here in Ireland this weekend, theres many festivals on and in the coming weeks so I have decided to do an easy festival makeup look! I will be posting it over the weekend, hopefully tomorrow so keep an eye out on my blog or simply follow me on Twitter

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great start to the week. Bank holiday weekend is coming up so I'm sure everyone is very excited for their three day weekend! I'm currently sitting here with a cup of tea while I type away! It has been so so so long since I have last written a blog post but it has been on my mind the past couple of weeks, I have been dying to do a few more posts. I was waiting until I got some essentials for taking good photos but today I have realised that the more I wait the more I'm putting it off! So I searched around the house for the best natural lighting I could find, found some gorgeous potpourri and snapped away! I must say I really enjoyed putting my Nikon camera to use! I definitely need to invest in a new lense as the one I have has a mark on it, I'm not sure how as I am super cautious when handling it. So for the mean time it will have to do, it does pop in some photos so please excuse. If any of you know how to edit this out please let me know because it is driving me crazy! Anyway enough of my rambling on and onto the products.
Skincare Routine: Every morning I wash my face with lukewarm water and salt. Yes, you read that right.. salt! It's anti-bacterial and it helps the exfoliation and toning of your skin! I then use the Garnier Miscellar water and the hydrating day cream. Once a week I like to use the Soap&Glory No clogs allowed mask. All which have my skin in its best condition it has ever been! I have listed these products below and went into a bit more detail.
Garnier Essentials Hydrating Day Cream: This is actually a new day cream I've been using, well I have been using it for a good while now as this is my second time using it. It was actually my mam that picked this up for me as she seen it was on special offer. I have a very oily t-zone and I have dry skin on some areas of my face. Sometimes my skin can feel quite tight after I wash my face or take my makeup off. It is the most uncomfortable feeling ever I literally lather my face in moisturiser! Since using this day cream it has made my skin unbelievably soft. I honestly can't get over how well it worked after one day. It has helped that tightness feeling I get to a certain extend after I remove my makeup. I knew it wasn't going to get rid of it completely because that is just the way my skin is but it does help get rid of any dryness and it leaves the skin so soft. This is for dry and sensitive skin and it is enriched with vitamin E so it helps to protect your skin and keep it hydrated!
Miscellar Cleansing Water: Ok I know there is hundreds of blog posts on these products, as it is very popular! But I didn't want to leave it out as it is part of my skincare routine. Before I started using this I ALWAYS removed my makeup with makeup wipes. My skin was in such bad condition, I was constantly getting breakouts and my skin was so red. I am starting to believe it was because I was using makeup wipes to remove my makeup. I will admit I was very laid back when it came to skincare, which is terrible because I wear makeup everyday and I should of been looking after my skin better. I have tried each one but at the moment I am using the one for sensitive skin because I have been using new makeup products I haven't used before. I honestly don't think I will ever part from this, not only does it remove makeup amazingly but it has reduced the redness in my skin and breakouts.
Soap&Glory No Clogs Allowed: Is there any Soap&Glory product that isn't amazing?! This is DEFINITELY the best face mask I have ever used! My sister has used this before and she was the one that told me about it. At one stage my skin was just constantly breaking out and I wasn't using any type of face mask so I decided to give this a go. So this mask is for oily/combination skin and I would highly recommend it. To be honest I never liked using masks because I hate when it drys in and feels really tight. Reason being my skin already having that tightness feeling. But this is literally the most relaxing mask ever! It features a 1 minute hot potclear technology. Another advantage to this product is that it comes in a tube so it lasts forever! So bascially when you lather the mask all over your skin until it turns blue, then wet your hands and rub it in again and it heats up! It is the most relaxing feeling. Definitely a must when your having a pamper night. This has my skin in such good condition since I started using it a year ago, I swear by it! It has cleared my skin and reduced breakouts. I do get them from time to time as everyone does but not as many and they are cleared up pretty quick from using this.
